This site collects the strict minimum needed to reply to you, and nothing else. Here, in plain language, is what is collected, why, where it goes and what you can ask for.
Who is responsible for your information
Louis Tremblay, doing business as Louis Automatise, in Montreal (Quebec). I am the person in charge of the protection of personal information for this business. For any question or request: info@louisautomatise.ca.
What I collect, and when
If you fill in the information request form: your name, your company's name, your email address, your phone number if you choose to give it, the type of need you selected and the description you write.
If you request the guide: your first name, your last name, your email address, your company's name and, if you write it, the description of the task that takes your time.
In both cases, I also collect the date and time of the submission.
If you fill in no form, I collect nothing that identifies you. This site uses no audience analytics tool and no advertising cookie.
What it is used for
Only to reply to you: send you the guide if you asked for it, get back to you about your information request, and keep the list of people who have written to me. I do not use this information to send you messages you did not ask for, and I neither sell nor rent it to anyone.
Every form has a consent box. It is never checked in advance.
Where your information is kept
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which receives the content of the form in order to pass it on. The form is then processed by a server I control, rented from OVH, in Canada. The information is kept in my Google Workspace tools (email and spreadsheet), whose servers may be located outside Quebec, notably in the United States. These providers act on my behalf, under their own security and confidentiality commitments, and are not allowed to use your information for other purposes.
If we work together, the systems I build live in your own accounts, under your own access. I keep none of your passwords.
How long
I keep the information from an information request or a guide request for 24 months after our last exchange, then I delete it. You can ask for its deletion earlier, at any time.
Embedded videos
Some pages embed videos hosted on YouTube. They load only if you click to play them. At that moment, YouTube (Google) may set its own cookies and collect data according to its privacy policy. Before that click, only a preview image served by this site is shown.
What you can ask for
You can ask me at any time: to see the information I hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to withdraw your consent. Write to info@louisautomatise.ca; I reply within thirty days.
If you believe your request was not handled properly, you can file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
In case of an incident
If an incident involving your information presented a serious risk of harm, I would inform you directly, as well as the Commission d'accès à l'information, as the law requires.
Changes to this notice
If this notice changes, the update date at the top of the page changes too. Significant changes will be flagged on the home page for thirty days.
